L. Michelle Moore

L. Michelle Moore is a social entrepreneur with roots in rural Georgia. She is the CEO of Groundswell, a nonprofit that builds community power by connecting solar and energy efficiency with economic development, affordability, and quality of life. Moore served as the senior vice president for the U.S. Green Building Council and chief sustainability officer for the Obama administration. In 2022, the U.S. Senate confirmed her as a member of the Tennessee Valley Authority Board of Directors. She is a contributor to the Observatory.
